![]() Not any cost but would have made life easier. A few hooks in both the bedroom and bathroom would have made quite a difference and a shelf in the bathroom by the washbowl would also have been nice. I am only writing this to encourage the owners to up their game a little and pay more attention to the needs of their clients. One final thing was that the small built in wardrobe was damp and all our clothes were damp and musty when we unpacked them at home and had to be washed. We had paid an extra amount to have better than the basic so goodness knows what the basic was or the message did not get through. There was room for say a luggage rack or a table but no. One tiny built in wardrobe and a small bedside set of drawers. Tiny - that was not a problem but with no furniture to speak of to be able to unpack a case. However the room we were allocated was really not very nice. Firstly the owners were, to a person, friendly and helpful and very nice. This is the first negative report I have written but it just may be the inspiration to make some changes. The Hostal is well placed in Conil and would certainly have gained regular visits from us because we live less than two hours away and love the town. ![]() We are now being forced to sleep in our car for the night because we have no where else to go and simply can’t afford to get another hotel/hostel as they are too expensive everywhere else (last minute prices). This is the first negative report I have written but it just may be the inspiration to make some changes.įirstly the owners were, to a person, friendly and helpful and very nice. On top of this all, the owner told us that he had our charged our credit cards for the night. We arrived there to the volunteers telling us that the key to our room was on the counter but they were specifically instructed not to give it to us. We tried to call them and even when they told us “we’re trying to find a solution”, the owner (Javier) simply left the hostel, told the volunteers not to open the door for us, and then deliberately ignored our calls. They told us that after 9pm they close check-in, and that’s it. We communicated with the hostel that we would arrive late, and tried to arrange a way for them to provide us the key (through leaving it in a lock pad, giving it to the volunteers working in the hostel that live there, etc.). For our recent reservation that was booked at the Arena Boutique Hostel, we booked it due to the reason that it had the “24H service” feature as part of the hostel. ![]()
